Meeting place and time: At Izu-Hakone Daiyuuzan Line’s Iidaoka Station Ticket Gate at 10:57 am

Train: 9:01  Shinjuku (Odakyu Line (Express going towards Odawara) and get off at Odawara (arriving at 10:38) – Change to the 10:45 Izu-Hakone Daiyuuzan train going towards Daiyuuzan. This arrives at Iidaoka Station at 10:55.

Course: Iidaoka Station – Odawara Flower Garden – Ikoi Forest – Wanpaku Park (One hour stay)  – Odawara Castle Park (Wisteria, Azalea) – Odawara Station

The total walking time for the hike will be about 4 hours.

Since trains run infrequently, we can’t wait for the next train (which arrives in 40 minutes). We are unable to accommodate late arrivals, so please make sure to arrive by the designated meeting time.

Train: Take the Seibu Chichibu Line train from Hanno at 8:56.  This arrives at Ashigakubo at 9:35

Hiking Course: Ashigakubo Station – Mountain Flower Road – Mt. Hinata – Hitsujiyama Park – Chichibu Station

RIVER CLEAN UP
Gather at Myoden Station (Tozai Line) outside the only ticket gate at
13:00, and then go to the Edogawa River and pick up trash along the
banks for about 3.5 to 4 hours.

If you come late, it will be about a 25-min walk to our location on
the
 opposite side of the river from the Clean Spa under the bay front
bridges. Just walk to the river from the station and the head to the

RAIN
In the event of light or medium rain this event will NOT be cancelled
as we will move to and from the river by car and we can clean up under
cover the bay front bridges as a Plan B as well as adjacent areas using
rain ware. In the event of heavy rain/strong winds (e.g., typhoon
conditions) or lightning then the event will be cancelled.

Those who wish to go with David, please meet at Hino Station (on the Chuo Line) ticket gate at 9:25. We will take the 9:30 bus from there (15 minutes).

 (Chopping wood, digging up bamboo shoots (?), etc)

Please wear long pants and long-sleeved shirt and exercise shoes.

2) Yanesen Azalea Walk

There are plenty of old temples and old buildings from the Edo Period still standing in Yanesen. The azalea garden at Nezu Shrine has over 3,000 flowers and 100 varieties of Azalea that bloom from early April until early May. Bunkyo Azalea Festival will be held as well.

This event is organized by the Earth Day Ride Team.

Meeting place & time: 9:30 am at Mitaka Station South Exit Plaza (People renting bicycles from Suzukake Bicycle Parking will go together to get their bicycles).  If you come with your own bicycles, you may come at 9:45.

Bicycle: Please arrange your own bicycle for this event (JAMBO will not be able to rent bicycles).

For those who need language assistance to rent a bike, please contact us at contact@jambointernational.org

The closest rental option is Suzukake Bicycle Parking (¥300/day), which is the most convenient.

Alternatively, you can use Docomo Bike, community bikes, or your own bicycle.

If you plan to drink alcohol and have your own bicycle, please make sure to bring a bike bag (rinko bag) to carry your bicycle home on the train. Train: Be sure to arrive by this time since we will be unable to wait for the next train and attend to the latecomers for this hike.  Please come to the meeting place at the appointed time.

From Hanno Station, take the 8:56 am Seibu Chichibu Line train (going towards Mitsumine-Guchi).  This arrives at Bushu-Nakagawa Station at 10:07.

We will take a train from Ichigaya station to Harajuku station, hopefully arriving around 4:30 pm.

Walking Time: About 3 Hours (7 km)

We’ll also be meeting another group for a cherry blossom party in Yoyogi Park afterwards (Though it isn’t part of the official event).
